Answer

  • 1 What is yoga?

Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind and spirit.

Many people think yoga is just stretching. While stretching is certainly involved, yoga is really about creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility. This is done through the performance of poses or postures, each of which has specific physical benefits. The poses can be done quickly in succession, creating heat in the body through movement (vinyasa-style yoga) or more slowly to increase stamina and perfect alignment. The poses are a constant, but the approach to them varies depending on the tradition in which the teacher has trained.

The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense of peace and well-being by making the body strong and flexible and improving respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and hormonal system functioning.

  • 2 What is hot yoga?

Hot yoga is simply yoga practiced in a studio heated up to 36-39 degrees Celsius and 30-40% humidity. This heat cleanses the body and warms the muscles allowing a deeper stretch and more flexibility. The combination of heat and postures are specifically designed to give a comprehensive workout to the entire body. In each workout, muscles, ligaments and tendons are warmed and stretched. New students are often surprised at how fast their core strength is built and the amazing vibrant health that is rapidly achieved through a regular practice.

Internal organs and glands are gently massaged and the heated room ensures that participants will sweat, helping them to flush toxins out of their system. In this intense cardiovascular workout, fresh, oxygenated blood is brought into to every part of the body, cleansing and rejuvenating the entire system.

The result is a workout like no other. One that has been embraced by thousands of people ranging from sports enthusiasts, to people suffering ailments, to those who just want to stay fit.

Waitlist Etiquette and Late Cancellation Fee
(please read if you want to save your pass or prevent a cancellation fee)

Since our class capacity has been reduced we can have waitlisted classes. Please let us know if you are unable to make it as this leaves an empty space in class which could have been filled by another client who really needed that class. If you are registered for class, please come! If you are on the waitlist, be prepared to get a spot in the class.

When registering for your class, be sure to check if you are booked directly into the class or on the waitlist. Unsure? You can check your Schedule through your MindBody app or online account.

Once you are on the waitlist, our cancellation policy applies as soon as you are added to the class. If you are no longer able to make it (not enough time to get to the studio, something else came up), remove yourself from the waitlist right away to avoid late cancel fees.

Once a spot opens for you, you will be automatically placed in the class. Depending on your personal notification settings you will receive an email or text message to let you know! Please note: if you are no longer able to attend, be sure to remove yourself from the class yourself on your account or call 3065851515 as early as possible so that the opportunity is given to the next person in line. If you are not able to attend and you cancel with less than 2 hours notice, or simply do not show up, you will be subject to the non-refundable late cancel fee of $15+GST. Please do not ask us to refund your cancellation fee. We are not able to do so as this helps to cover only a small portion of our loss due to the now empty spot in class as well as the cost of software and administration required to offer you the option to waitlist.

Since folks sometimes cancel last minute (please try not to be this person!), you could be added to the class up 30 minutes prior to the class starting. If you are still on the waitlist, we think you still want a spot and may be waiting close by! We often have waitlisted clients who live nearby or show up and wait outside to see if a spot is available. If you are no longer waiting to get into class, please remove yourself from the waitlist. Do not wait until we offer you a spot. It is imperative that we fill our classes in order to continue offering them.

HOW DO I CANCEL IF I NEED TO?

Easy! Log in to your online account, or Mindbody App. From your profile page, select to view your schedule. You will see a list of all of the classes you are booked or waitlisted for. Select the class you would like to cancel and confirm to complete the transaction. Please note that cancellations must be made through your account. If that does not work please text 3065502076(Tim) or email([email protected]) asap to save your pass or prevent a cancellation fee. Cancellations left via voicemail will not be accepted.

Thank you for Reading and Understanding. This all goes to helping us stay open and provide good service and wonderful classes to enjoy in the community.
